I got up at the crack of 7:30 this morning and got down to the gym sometime after 8:00. All the treadmills were taken again so I hit the same kind of elliptical trainer I did yesterday. It has various preset programs you can run and yesterday I went with “Fat Burning”. That’s where you exercise at lower intensity to keep your heart rate below a certain threshold, above which you start doing anaerobic exercise. It was okay, but I felt I could put it up another notch this morning and went with “Manual” mode. I put it into level 1 resistence (yesterday was mostly level 0) and tried to go a bit faster and not care about heart rate thresholds. Today I went 35 minutes for 2.49 elliptical trainer units (whatever they are) for 516 calories. I got some rest and a small V-8 juice while typing this up and now it’s time to get the rest of the day going. CUl8er!

Since I got a late start to the day, I didn’t eat until around 10:30. I’ll not eat again until dinner so it’s a bit more substantial than yesterday’s oatmeal. Today it was ham, toast and an omelet. The ham was a very lean 3 oz. slice, toast was sourdough with light butter, and the omelete was made with fat free egg substitute with green onions, bell pepper, basil, black olives, and jalapeno topped with salsa. Oh, and a bit of cheddar cheese folded in. I have a little bit left of a brick I bought a while ago and it’s too good to toss out. I have a couple other things like that lurking in there, but I’m going to clean and scrub the fridge today and start fresh.
Okay, fridge is cleaned out and restocked with healthy stuff: fruits & veggies. This afternoon I had large salad with lettuce, bell pepper and celery and most of the last of some homemade blue cheese dressing. Once that’s gone it’s back to the oil & vinegar varieties. I also had the rest of some teriakyi chicken lying around. Tomorrow will be the big test: getting up early in the morning and hitting the gym before work. I’m also going to bring a set of clothes to hit the gym after work. Too much, too soon? Well, I guess I’ll find out.
PJ Momma and some of her crowd are also focused on losing weight - they’re looking to develop the perfect chick butt. I think that’s very thoughtful.
OK, so yesterday I drank a few beers and pizza and today I had a pint of Haagen Dazs. Not good. But tonight I will do some rowing and tomorrow I will follow a much more restricted diet.

Hey! I just wanted to say to you that the program I’m doing is really not complicated I promise! It’s basically raw fruits and vegetables (and their fresh juices) all day long and then you kind of pig out at night. That’s it. i know it sounds really bizarre, but I’m working on my 11th day and I think this is the longest I’ve ever stuck to anything because I’m getting the nutrients my body needs, however Ill confess that when I read you had Schlottzky’s I was ready to go to Firehouse subs. nummy You’re trying to sabotage me aren’t you? hhhmmmph!
