My plan is to take my “official” weight on Saturday mornings and to track it on a weekly basis. I was up late last night and so I slept in this morning past 8:00. I stepped on the scale and I’m at 338.8. I didn’t think that could be right so I did it again, but the results were the same - I lost 9.8 pounds in one week. That’s not typical, and I don’t really expect to keep doing that every week. I must have been retaining water or something last Saturday. Still, pretty cool!
Congrats Enas!
YAY! Congrats!
Thanks y’all! Although, I must say I’ve been feeling a bit “off” all day today.
Here’s lookin’ at you, Enas!
I just quit smoking two weeks ago and I can already feel my pants getting tighter…I don’t have serious weight to lose, but you’re going to have company at the salad bar and the gym anyway.

Quitting smoking! Yay! Very hard to do I know - I quit about seven years ago after struggling with it for months. I did The Patch. I don’t think I could have ever done it cold turkey. Once you get past a certain point it gets easier so hang in there! Food does taste better and different though.
That link to the story about protein is interesting. I keep meaning to type up my overall methodology so people know what I’m “doing”.
I’m cold turkey and it’s working out fine, not struggling very much, but I wasn’t such a bad smoker to begin with.
I was watching FitTV (passively watching other people exercise while I sit on the couch eating chips is very calming), and a story mentioned that smoking cigarettes/ consuming nicotine burns lots of calories all by itself, just because of the stimulant effect to the metabolism.
I’m almost thinking of chewing that nicorette gum just for the little bit of chemical assistance, but I don’t want to become addicted to a damn gum. Chronic gum chewers annoy all Hell out of me.
Anyhoo, your menus look real good. I won’t diet in cold weather, but around Springtime I might steal some of your food plans.
